In his statement, the elderly man admitted to having been involved in the illegal drug trade for over two decades.
He revealed that he had been selling cannabis for 25 years, obtaining his supplies from the Benin Republic and selling them to customers from his home daily.
“He further claimed he gets his supplies from the Benin Republic and sells to his customers from his residence between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. every day,” Babafemi disclosed.
This long-standing involvement in the drug trade raises concerns about the potential influence on the community and younger generations.
Authorities are urged to increase vigilance in the area to curb similar activities and ensure the safety of residents from the harmful effects of drug trafficking.
