Actor John Aprea, Passes Away at 83

John Aprea, one of the famous and talented actors best known for his role as young Salvatore “Sal” Tessio in “The Godfather Part II,” has passed away at the age of 83. Aprea, who died of natural causes on August 5 in Los Angeles, was surrounded by his loved ones during his final moments, according to his manager, Will Levine. 

 

Aprea’s work ethic and dedication to his craft were widely recognized, leaving an indelible mark on both his colleagues and fans.

 

“I am very saddened by the death of Mr. Aprea,”

Levine expressed, highlighting that Aprea was not only an incredibly talented actor but also one of the classiest individuals he had ever known. 

 

Born to Italian immigrants in Englewood, New Jersey, in 1941, Aprea’s career spanned several decades, with notable roles in “Bullitt,” “Another World,” and “Full House.”. 

 

His versatility as an actor allowed him to portray a range of characters, from tough guys to loving fathers, leaving a lasting impression on audiences forever.
