Shaboozey Celebrates Two Country Music Award Nominations, Sympathizes with Beyoncé for Snub

American-Nigerian singer Shaboozey is celebrating a significant achievement after receiving two nominations at the 2024 Country Music Awards (CMA), which is a reflection of his hard work and signifies a great milestone.

Shaboozey was nominated for New Artist of the Year, while his chart-topping hit “Tipsy (A Bar Song)” earned a nod in the Single of the Year category.

Reflecting on his journey, Shaboozey expressed immense gratitude, noting that he once sang about winning a CMA in 2016, which made him double his hard work and tough determination that he would make it.

He shared his excitement on social media, saying, “What an honor would be an understatement.”

In spite of his success, Shaboozey took a moment to sympathize with Beyoncé, whose country album “Cowboy Cater” received no nominations, despite being critically acclaimed.

He praised Beyoncé for her groundbreaking work, writing,

“Thank you, @Beyonce, for opening a door for us, starting a conversation, and giving us one of the most innovative country albums of all time!” highlighting that music was eye-opening and motivating for him, which kept him going.

Shaboozey’s rise in the country music scene has been impressive, with “Tipsy” becoming the most streamed song in the U.S. in 2024.

His journey serves as an inspiration, showing that perseverance and dedication can lead to monumental success if one never gives in to failure.
