Gunmen Abduct Clinic Proprietor in Nasarawa, Demand N58m Ransom

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted Mr. Yakubu Alkali, the proprietor of Mochu Memorial Clinic in Nasarawa State, Nigeria, and are demanding a huge sum of N58 million for his release and safety.

 The incident occurred on Tuesday night, September 17, 2024, at his residence in Moroa community, located in Akwanga Local Government Area of the Nasarawa state. 

 According to one of the family sources, the kidnappers have contacted the family with their ransom demands in exchange for the victim’s life and safety.

Mr. Alkali, known for his philanthropic work in the community and beyond, has no known record of wrongdoing, leading many to express outrage over the abduction and putting his life at risk. 

 His contributions to healthcare and charity make the situation even more disheartening, and locals are calling on the government to intervene immediately to ensure community safety in general.

 This kidnapping highlights the growing security concerns in the region and the rate at which insecurity has increased in the society. 

 Residents are urging the state governor to deploy security forces to locate the victim and bring the culprits to justice to ensure proper justice for the victim and the community at large. 

 They are also calling on the government to address the increasing cases of kidnappings before the situation spirals out of control and places more innocent lives at risk.
