Edo Decides: Police Spokesperson ACP Muyiwa Adejobi Responds to Troll Calling Him “APC Officer”

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, addressed a troll who accused him of being an “APC officer” following the just-concluded Edo state gubernatorial election that occurred recently.

The troll left a comment implying that Adejobi was biased in favor of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to which the officer swiftly responded, knowing fully well it was false.

Adejobi clarified the misunderstanding by pointing out that the term “APC” in his context referred to armored personnel carriers, which are essential in providing security for officers on duty to protect themselves and ensure their own safety.

In his response, Adejobi said, “No police officer can succeed without the use of APC. It protects personnel on operations because it’s armored and bulletproof. That’s why it’s called Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC).”

By addressing the comment head-on, Adejobi emphasized the importance of focusing on the safety of both officers and the public during high-stakes elections, in which safety is paramount rather than being distracted by baseless accusations that might have no end.

Furthermore, Adejobi’s proactive stance showcases his commitment to maintaining law and order while also motivating other officers to prioritize professionalism in their duties for trustworthiness and growth.

His response serves as a reminder that the Nigeria Police Force is dedicated to securing the nation, and officers should not be discouraged by public criticism but rather use it as an opportunity to reinforce their mission to protect and serve wholeheartedly.
