“If the Falanas Let This Go Unchallenged, They Will Be Seen as Guilty” – Aisha Yesufu Weighs In on VDM Controversy

Activist Aisha Yesufu has voiced her support for the Falanas, stating that if they do not challenge the allegations made in an audio recording shared by social critic Very Dark Man (VDM), it could be interpreted as an admission of guilt.

The controversy centers around a claim in the audio, where Bobrisky allegedly stated that lawyer Femi Falana and his son, rapper Falz, offered to help secure him a presidential pardon for 10 million naira.

Both Femi Falana and Falz have denied the accusations and demanded a retraction and apology from VDM.

Yesufu, taking to social media platform X, highlighted that people would ridicule the Falanas if they allowed the matter to slide.

“If the Falanas let this go unchallenged, the same people will say that they are guilty of what they are accused of,” Yesufu stated, noting that their decision to take legal action is the right approach to clear their names and maintain their reputation.

Yesufu further criticized the public for having inconsistent expectations.

“Because many do not care about their reputation, they feel others shouldn’t.

You want to tarnish a family’s hard-earned name, and you think they should let it go.

What nonsense is that?”

she exclaimed, emphasizing that the corruption allegations and the defamation case can both be addressed simultaneously.
