Lagos Taskforce Seizes Number Plates of 28 Cars Parked Illegally at Cubana Nightclub

The Lagos State Security Taskforce seized the number plates of 28 vehicles parked illegally in front of Cubana Nightclub during a late-night enforcement operation on Friday, October 4, 2024, which was a befitting step.

The state’s Commissioner for Water and Environment, Tokunboh Wahab, disclosed the details on X, formerly known as Twitter, emphasizing that the vehicles had obstructed the free flow of traffic along Sobo Arobiodu Road in GRA Ikeja, which is disrupting people from making their way out of there on time.

“The Lagos State Environmental/Security Taskforce team carried out a night enforcement operation, during which number plates of vehicles parked illegally in front of Cubana (Night Club), obstructing the free flow of traffic, were untied and confiscated,” Wahab stated.

However, he also mentioned that the offending vehicle owners would be charged in court for violating Lagos State traffic regulations in order to take responsibility for their actions.

This decisive action reflects the Lagos State government’s commitment to ensuring that all citizens, regardless of status, abide by the law.

In addition, such operations send a clear message that no one is above the law, and violators will face consequences.

“Owners of the offending vehicles will all be charged to court,” Wahab concluded, reinforcing the state’s effort to enforce traffic discipline across the city.
