Actress Empress Njamah Responds to Age-shaming Troll

Nigerian actress Empress Njamah has responded forcefully to an Instagram user who attempted to age-shame her by urging her to get married.

The actress, who had shared a video of herself surprising a friend on their birthday, was met with a comment from the troll suggesting that she was “getting old” and should focus on finding a husband.

Unfazed by the criticism, the Empress used the opportunity to express her views on the societal pressures surrounding marriage, especially for women.

In her pointed reply, Empress emphasized that life is not solely defined by marriage, highlighting the importance of personal growth and positivity.

She responded to the troll by saying,

“Life does not begin and end with marriage, and please young woman, looking older than your age because of your dark heart, use your bitter fingers and unfollow me sharp.”

Her statement reflects her belief that women should not be judged or pressured based on their marital status but rather on their individual achievements and happiness.

The Empress also encouraged the troll to focus on living a more positive life rather than projecting negativity onto others.

This exchange highlights a broader message that Empress Njamah is sending to the public, particularly to women who face similar pressures.

By standing up to the troll, the actress is advocating for women to prioritize their own fulfillment and success over conforming to societal expectations of marriage.

Her response not only addresses the specific comment but also serves as a reminder that personal worth is not determined by one’s marital status.
