Aviation Minister Urges Unions to Shelve Protest

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has appealed to aviation unions to shelve their planned protest in consideration of passengers who rely on the aviation sector for their livelihoods.

In a statement released on Friday, August 16, Keyamo assured stakeholders of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to the welfare of aviation workers and the improvement of the sector.

“We appeal to all workers to remain calm and maintain industrial peace while the government is working assiduously towards amicably resolving the matter,” Keyamo stated.

The significance of balancing the fiscal needs of the government with the operational. requirements of aviation agencies, urging workers to show patience and understanding for the sake of passengers going about their daily means to make a living.
