Big Brother Naija Season Nine winner Kingsley Sule, popularly known as Kellyrae, has opened up about his experience in the house and the impact his victory will have on his life.
In spite of never anticipating a win, Kellyrae emphasized that his maturity and strong bond with his wife, Kassia, helped him navigate the challenges of the show.
“I never thought I would win. I was just praying to make it through each week,” he said.
Kellyrae and his wife entered the house with a strategy focused on connection rather than competition, which many believe contributed to their success.
Kellyrae’s relationship with his wife was pivotal during his time in the house, as they shared a mutual understanding and trust.
Their bond helped Kellyrae manage the complexities of the game, especially as they kept their marital status hidden initially to foster stronger connections.
“If we had announced our status as married couples, we might not have bonded with the other contestants as easily,” he explained.
Kellyrae highlighted the importance of choosing the right partner, stating, “We courted for a long time, so we know what we want for each other.”
In spite of the overwhelming attention that comes with his win, Kellyrae remains grounded, attributing his calm demeanor to his maturity.
Although he admitted that he had never had one million naira in his account at once, he is confident that he and his wife are prepared for the next chapter.
“Thankfully, I have taken my time to mature into this, so I’ll be fine,” he said.
