BeatKing: US Rapper and producer Dies at 39

Renowned Houston rapper and music producer BeatKing has died at the age of 39. The news was confirmed by his manager, Felder, in a heartfelt Instagram post on August 15, 2024. He expressed the loss by stating,

“Today, On August 15, 2024, we lost BeatKing. He has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters, his music, and his fans. We will love him forever.”

BeatKing was best known for his innovative beats and marketing strategies, which significantly influenced hip-hop culture in the South during the early 2000s. 

His contributions earned him a special place in the hearts of his fans and peers.

“Our hearts are heavy with the news that BeatKing, family to us here at 97.9 The Box and Radio ONE Houston, has passed away,” read a statement from the radio station. “We are sending our love to his loved ones, friends, peers, and the whole city of Houston. We love you, BeatKing.” 

His distinctive style and hit-making abilities made him a beloved figure in the rap community. Rappers who used his beats and collaborated with him will deeply feel his absence.
