The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has expressed his displeasure over the recent allegations involving the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) officials, who are accused of providing a private apartment for Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, during his six-month prison sentence that was of him showing he was sorry.
Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja to mark his one year in office, the minister assured the public that any implicated personnel found involved in the case would face serious consequences to serve as a lesson to others.
“We will not spare anybody, no matter how highly placed,” Tunji-Ojo firmly stated.
He urged the public to be patient as the ongoing investigation unfolds but emphasized that “nobody will be protected.”
This incident, which has raised concerns about corruption and favoritism within the NCoS, is being thoroughly probed to ensure accountability.

Furthermore, Tunji-Ojo highlighted the importance of restoring discipline and integrity within the correctional system.
“The caliber of individuals appointed to the investigation panel reflects our commitment to conducting a far-reaching inquiry,” he added, highlighting the government’s dedication to ensuring that such breaches do not tarnish the reputation of the service.
