The Emir of Ningi, Dr. Yunusa Danyaya, passed away early this morning, leaving a profound void in Bauchi State and beyond.
The revered monarch, aged 88, had recently returned from a medical trip to Saudi Arabia, where he sought treatment in hopes of regaining his health.
Tragically, just days after his return, Dr. Danyaya succumbed to his illness in a Kano hospital, bringing an end to his impactful reign.
His passing was announced by Alhaji Usman Sule, the Secretary of the Emirate, who conveyed the sorrowful news to the public.

Transitioning from a time of hope for recovery to an unexpected loss, the Emir’s death has left the people of Ningi in deep mourning.
Known for his ability to lead with wisdom and maintain peace, Dr. Danyaya’s influence extended far beyond the palace walls, His leadership was characterized by a rare combination of authority and compassion, making his passing not just a loss for his family, but for the entire community.

The loss is particularly painful given the circumstances surrounding his death, After enduring the strain of travel and medical treatment, it seemed that Dr. Danyaya’s return would mark the beginning of a new chapter of recovery. Instead, his passing has been met with profound grief, especially among those who were touched by his leadership.
The Emir’s funeral will be held today at 4 p.m. at the Emir’s Palace in Ningi, where he will be laid to rest amidst the prayers and tears of those who held him in high regard.
