Fashion designer Fifi Dilly has quietly made changes to her Instagram bio following her ex-husband, businessman Dilly Umenyiora, publicly flaunting a new relationship with his new lover.
Dilly, who announced their separation in December 2023 after 15 years of marriage and 17 years of dating, recently shared photos celebrating his new partner’s birthday, marking a shift in the public narrative of their split, which must not have sat well with the ex-wife.
Fifi, who initially kept her bio as “Wife to the most handsome man on earth. Mom to 3 Angels” has now updated it, removing all references to her ex-husband to respect privacy and to avoid the unnecessary toll on social media.
However, her Instagram handle still retains the name “Fifi Dilly.” In addition to changing her bio, she has also deleted all posts featuring Dilly from her Instagram feed.
In spite of the public separation, Fifi has maintained a dignified silence, showing strength amidst the turmoil.
Her priority remains her children and the reputation she has built over the years.
Dilly, while announcing the separation, stated, “After 17 years of dating and 15 years of marriage… I, DILLY UMENYIORA, have declared my marriage with FIFI UMENYIORA to be officially over… We have some irreconcilable differences that could not be solved.”
He went on to say that he would continue to provide for Fifi and their children, wishing her well but choosing to move on.
The incident has left many reflecting on the importance of careful partner selection and the value of maintaining dignity in public life.
