Floyd Mayweather and Tyga Sued for Over $Million by Miami Jeweler Over Unpaid Luxury Purchases

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and rapper Tyga have been hit with a lawsuit by Miami jeweler Leonard Sulaymanov, who is seeking over $3,883,657.00” in unpaid balances for high-end watches and jewelry.

The suit, filed on August 23 in a federal court in Miami, alleges that Mayweather and Tyga violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act, along with accusations of fraud, civil conspiracy, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and civil theft.

Sulaymanov claims that despite multiple purchases made by Mayweather, the boxer failed to pay off the full balance, leaving the jeweler with an outstanding debt that could threaten both his business and personal safety.

According to the lawsuit, Sulaymanov sold Mayweather an array of luxury items in June 2021, including watches from Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille, Patek Philippe, and Rolex, as well as diamond jewelry.

The jeweler documented the transactions with photos, showing Mayweather making a partial cash payment of $267,000.

However, the remaining balance, along with additional purchases made later, was never settled.

The jeweler also alleges that Tyga, whose real name is Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, agreed to purchase a Rolex Day Date for $79,000 but similarly failed to complete the payment.

Sulaymanov is now seeking not only the overdue balance of nearly $3,883,657.00” but also compensation for the “humiliation, embarrassment, and mental anguish” he has endured as a result of the situation.

The lawsuit states that Mayweather and Tyga “lured plaintiffs into a false sense of security” about an ongoing business relationship that would benefit all parties involved.

As days passed without payment, the jeweler grew increasingly concerned, exchanging messages with the defendants through their agent.

This case serves as a stark reminder of the risks involved in doing business with prominent figures and the importance of keeping meticulous records to protect oneself from potential losses and legal battles.
