Gunshots were fired at U.S. presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ campaign office in a Phoenix suburb, causing damage but fortunately no injuries.
The shooting, which occurred after midnight on Monday, left several bullets lodged in the building and shattered windows.
Tempe police are currently investigating the incident, marking the second shooting at the same location in as many weeks.
Sean McEnerney, the Arizona Democratic Party coordinated campaign manager, expressed relief that no one was injured.
“We are grateful to Tempe Police for coming quickly to the scene and are fortunate no one was present or injured,” McEnerney said.
This is the second security breach in recent weeks, following a similar incident on September 16 when rounds from a pellet gun were fired at the building.
Meanwhile, concerns about political violence are growing, particularly after an assassination attempt on Donald Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course earlier this month.

Authorities are urged to intensify security measures, as the escalating attacks threaten not only the safety of the candidates but also the overall stability of the nation.
The Arizona police have ramped up their investigation, but further steps are needed to protect all those involved in the elections.
