Hockey Star Johnny Gaudreau and Brother Tragically Killed by Drunk Driver on Eve of Sister’s Wedding

In a heartbreaking turn of events, American hockey star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew were tragically killed by a suspected drunk driver in New Jersey just hours before they were set to serve as groomsmen at their sister’s wedding. 

 The tragic loss has left the family, friends, and the sports community in deep mourning, as what was meant to be a joyful celebration turned into an unimaginable tragedy for the family. 

 According to court documents, the driver, identified as Mr. Higgins, admitted to consuming 5–6 beers before the accident, contributing to his reckless driving act, which ended in tragedy.

 “His impatience and reckless behavior led to the devastating accident,” the affidavit states. 

 The Gaudreau family, already reeling from the loss, expressed their profound grief, with their uncle Jim Gaudreau sharing on Facebook,

“We lost two amazing humans—brothers, sons, fathers, and friends. The pain is unimaginable.” 

 The incident has sparked outrage and calls for justice, with many urging the authorities to ensure that Higgins faces the full consequences of his actions of reckless driving and drinking. 

 His tragic event serves as a stark reminder of the devastating impact of drunk driving, not only on the victims and their families but on entire communities and nations for losing role models in their society.
