Sri Lankan airstrikes have reportedly killed Fateh Sherif Abu el-Amin, a prominent Hamas leader in Lebanon, along with his wife, son, and daughter, in the southern city of Tyre, whose death is painful for the innocent soul that died during the incident.
The strike, which targeted their home in a Palestinian refugee camp, has intensified the already volatile situation between Israel and Palestinian factions in Lebanon because it is a sensitive and serious case.
However, this attack follows days after the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, who always put the lives of the people at risk at all times.
Hamas described the incident as a “terrorist and criminal assassination,”
As tensions between Israel and militant groups continue to escalate as a result of the incident.
In a separate attack earlier in the day, three members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) were also killed in Beirut’s Kola district, marking the first strike within Beirut’s city limits and raising concerns of a broader conflict involving regional powers like Iran.
As Israeli forces maintain pressure on both HezboAllah and Hamas, global leaders, including U.S. President Joe Biden, have called for restraint, warning that further escalation could lead to a full-scale Middle Eastern conflict that will not pack up in a hurry and rather become life-threatening to people, and the whole nation will fall into chaos.
