Man Advises Evangelist to Seek Employment

A video circulating on social media has sparked a wave of mixed reactions after a man was seen advising a female evangelist, who was preaching on the streets around 4 a.m., to get a job. He says.

The incident, captured in the early hours, shows the man addressing the preacher in Igbo, suggesting that instead of dedicating her time solely to street evangelism, she should seek employment given the current economic challenges in Nigeria.

He emphasized that balancing work and preaching could prevent her from becoming a burden to herself in such a difficult Nigerian economy.

The man’s advice has prompted diverse opinions among Nigerians.

Meanwhile, some have commended him for providing practical advice, arguing that in a tough country with a struggling economy, it is essential to secure financial stability, while others have criticized his approach, accusing him of verbally assaulting the evangelist and disrespecting her religious dedication.

However, the man in person just seemed to care for her as the economy seemed not to be so friendly to anyone, especially the average person in society, from hunger to unemployment to bad governance, insecurity, and many other disruptions in the nation.

This incident has revitalized conversations about the pressures of economic survival in Nigeria and the balance between spiritual commitments and financial responsibilities.
