Former First Lady Melania Trump has opened up about her first meeting with now-husband Donald Trump in her newly released memoir, “Melania,” which hit shelves on October 8, 2024.
The two first crossed paths during a Fashion Week party in 1998 when Trump was on a date with another woman who is said to also be classy just like him.
In spite of being with a companion, Donald seized the opportunity to strike up a conversation with Melania, leaving a lasting impression since it is said that first impressions last longer.
Melania recalls their initial interaction, explaining how Donald introduced himself and quickly captivated her with his charm using all of his qualities.
“From the moment our conversation began, I was captivated by his charm and easygoing nature,” she writes.
She noted that while there was much activity around them, Donald’s focus on her made her feel like the center of his world.
However, in spite of being on a date, Trump confidently asked for her number, but Melania cleverly responded, “Give me your number,” initiating what would become the beginning of their relationship.
Their early interactions, which included attending theater shows and sporting events, laid the foundation for their future together.
The couple went on to marry in 2005, and in 2006, they welcomed their son Barron.
Melania’s memoir highlights the strength of their bond and the confidence they both exuded, reminding readers of the importance of knowing one’s worth and pursuing what truly matters in life.
