Nnamdi Kanu’s treason trial has taken a new turn as the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, has directed that the case file be returned to Justice Binta Nyako.
This comes after Justice Nyako recused herself from the case on September 24, following Kanu’s demand that she hand off the case due to a lack of confidence in her ability to ensure a fair hearing, and there is no probability of winning the case.
However, Justice Tsoho has stipulated that Kanu must file a formal application, supported by an affidavit, detailing reasons why he wants his trial to be conducted before another judge, which seems so uncomfortable with the other officials.

The prosecution is also required to respond to Kanu’s application, after which Justice Nyako will hear it and give a ruling on whether or not to withdraw.
This development highlights the need for careful handling of this case to prevent further abandonment and ensure that justice is served.
As the situation unfolds, it is crucial for those involved to conduct thorough research and address any underlying issues to prevent the case from being forgotten and an innocent person suffering as a result.
