The police responded promptly after receiving a tip-off and managed to rescue two of the abducted students. However, three others remain missing.

The spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the incident and emphasized the ongoing efforts to rescue the remaining victims and apprehend the perpetrators.

“We have launched a vigorous operation to locate the missing students and bring those responsible to justice,” DSP Ndukwe stated.

The attack has highlighted the need for stricter security measures within school premises, as the safety of students must be prioritized in an environment increasingly fraught with insecurity due to economic challenges.

This incident highlights the critical importance of monitoring and controlling access to school premises, ensuring that the number of students and visitors is consistently accounted for. While the police have taken swift action in response to this crisis, continued vigilance and proactive security measures are essential to reassure the public that their safety is being actively safeguarded.
