A shocking video has emerged showing a car being driven on the Sagamu road in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, with only three tires, causing widespread concern about the vehicle’s roadworthiness and the potential risks it poses to other road users, especially people selling the market by the roadside.
The car, which was visibly wobbling as it moved, was filmed by Omolola Oladimeji, a fashion designer who was returning from Ondo State with her family when they encountered the unusual sight.
“I was on my way back from my hometown (Ondo State) when we (my family and I) sighted the three-legged vehicle. I hadn’t seen anything like that, so I took a video of it,” Oladimeji told LIB.
Nigerians have since expressed alarm on social media, questioning how such a vehicle was allowed on the road and criticizing the apparent lapses in road safety enforcement by the authorities.
Many are concerned that the failure of road safety officials to intercept such a dangerously unfit vehicle could lead to accidents, putting the lives of innocent road users at risk who are at the pace of having to fend for themselves.

The incident has sparked calls for stricter monitoring and enforcement of vehicle roadworthiness to prevent such hazards from endangering the public.
In addition, road safety officials should also make sure they carry out their duties effectively to ensure that all vehicles passing the roads abide by the rules that are set aside by the government for their safety and their passengers.
