Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has shared his thoughts on how Nigerian women perceive s3x, stating that it should not be considered a favor unless a woman is a prostitute; he expressed it in his own view.
In a social media post, the musician argued that s3x is a natural, mutual act between partners, similar to the primal instincts of cavemen and women who decide to be involved in such an act.
However, Kuti explained that modern-day Nigerian women sometimes regard intimacy as something they offer, whereas it is a shared experience for both partners, not for a single fellow alone.
He emphasized, “No one gives anyone sex except a prostitute. Sex is a mutual act. It’s not a favor, and you didn’t do anything; you just had sex, a natural act that cave women and cave men did,” he stated.
The singer further encouraged women to focus on personal growth and self-respect, urging them to prioritize their lives and ambitions rather than seeking validation through physical intimacy or playing the role of victims all the time, as well as the way society views it.
Kuti concluded, “Nigerian women, sex isn’t a favor unless you’re a prostitute—and that also isn’t a bad thing.”
