Singer Portable Sparks Controversy with Ritual Video

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as’Portable’, has agitated controversy once again after sharing a video that appears to depict him performing a ritual, sparking widespread concern over the public promotion of practices that could negatively influence societal values.

The video, which has gone viral, shows the singer engaging in what many perceive to be a traditional ritual involving a bowl of red substance, broken kola nuts, and symbolic markings, raising alarm over its potential impact on viewers, particularly the youth.

The singer’s behaviors are not only seen to be at odds with religious and moral values but also in conflict with societal norms and government policies.

The public display of such rituals could lead vulnerable individuals to question their own lives and possibly embrace practices that are not aligned with divine teachings or lawful conduct.

The act of openly sharing these rituals is seen as particularly troubling, as it could encourage others to follow suit, thereby eroding the ethical standards that hold society together.

In response to the video, there have been renewed calls for stricter media regulations to prevent the dissemination of content that could be deemed harmful or inappropriate.

Legal experts and social commentators are advocating for the enforcement of media laws that would impose sanctions on individuals who use platforms to promote activities that are not widely accepted by the community.

By ensuring that such content is regulated, it is believed that society can be shielded from influences that could lead to a decline in moral and social order.
