A soldier allegedly stripped a young man at a popular nightclub in Lagos for wearing a designer outfit that resembled military camouflage which he finds offensive.
The incident, which took place at Hustle and Bustle nightclub, was captured in a video shared online, where the victim recounted how the soldier approached him, tore his trousers, and left him naked, claiming it was a violation of the military code. to put on their uniform when it is not even a real one.
“The guy met me and stripped me naked at Hustle and Bustle, telling me he is a military personnel.
This is not a military trouser. It’s a designer that I bought,” the man said in the video, defending his outfit.
A security guard at the nightclub also confirmed the incident, adding to the public outrage surrounding the issue.
The growing concern over military personnel’s handling of civilians wearing similar camouflage outfits has prompted calls for proper orientation.
Moreover, critics argue that if the military has concerns over such designs, they should address the clothing manufacturers rather than harassing individuals.
Citizens have urged the government to intervene and ensure that military personnel respect the public, noting that excessive actions like these could escalate further if not addressed.
