Businesswoman Sonia Ighalo has responded to claims from Nigerians accusing her of attempting to get back with her ex-husband, footballer Jude Ighalo, following a recent post in which she praised him for his kindness toward her and their children.
Sonia’s post, shared on Wednesday, September 4, detailed how her ex-husband went out of his way to get her Kilishi, a Nigerian delicacy, despite their separation.
This sparked assumptions among some commenters that her appreciative message was a way to rekindle their relationship.

In response to these claims, Sonia took to her Instagram, expressing her frustration at the unfounded accusations.
She firmly dismissed the idea that she was seeking to “enter through the back door,” stating
“We own the whole building. Even after we left, not even the most powerful woman in that family could stop us.”
Sonia further clarified that her post had nothing to do with trying to reconcile with Jude but rather to acknowledge his role as the father of her children.
She emphasized her right to speak about him, saying,
“I will post and celebrate him whenever I want because he is the father of my kids.”
Sonia also addressed those who misinterpreted her intentions, urging people to refrain from meddling in her personal life.
She added, “People should learn to stop putting their mouth in other people’s business,” noting that such interference could have emotional and mental consequences for others in similar situations.
