In the wake of the thwarted terrorist attack that led to the cancellation of Vienna shows Taylor Swift has broken her silence, revealing the immense pressure and responsibility she felt during the ordeal.
The shows, originally scheduled from August 8 to August 10, were canceled after Austrian authorities arrested three teens allegedly planning an ISIS-style attack, intending to drive a bomb-filled car into the crowd.

Swift’s response to the situation was calculated and cautious.
“Let me be very clear: I am not going to speak about something publicly if I think doing so might provoke those who would want to harm the fans who come to my shows,” she explained.
In spite of the threat, Swift prioritized the safety of nearly half a million fans expected at her London shows.
She and her team collaborated closely with British authorities and stadium staff to prevent any further danger.
“My priority was finishing our European tour safely, and it is with great relief that I can say we did that,” she stated.
Though the Vienna cancellations were devastating for Swift and her fans, she acknowledged the importance of the measures taken.
The careful handling of the situation not only protected her career but also ensured the security of those attending her shows.
With the European leg of The Eras Tour now complete, Swift can look back on the challenges faced with pride, knowing that through caution and careful planning, a potential disaster was averted.
