The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three suspects for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old girl in the Festac area of the state.
The suspects, identified as Vincent Omar, 22, Leonard Nwodo, 30, and Henry Chiokwe, 17, were arrested following a complaint reported at Area ‘E’ Festac Command on September 26, on behalf of the teenager.
The suspects have been arraigned and are facing charges for defiling a minor and threatening to post her nude pictures online.
The survivor alleged that she met Omar in 2022 when she was 13 years old, and they exchanged phone numbers.
Omar allegedly called her to come to his house and asked her to engage in sexual activities.
The survivor also stated that she met Nwodo at her mother’s shop in May 2024, and they exchanged phone numbers.
Nwodo invited her to Omar’s house, where he had carnal knowledge of her.
Chiokwe also allegedly had carnal knowledge of her.
The suspects threatened to post the girl’s nude pictures online, which led to the report at the police station.

This case highlights the need for parents to guide their children and teach them how to express themselves properly.
It is essential for parents to be aware of their children’s activities and the company they keep.
The government also needs to take cases of defilement and blackmail seriously and ensure that perpetrators are punished accordingly.
The sanctity of girls and ladies should be respected, and they should not be forced to give out something they are not willing to.
The police should also be commended for their prompt action in arresting the suspects and ensuring that justice is served.
