Trump Alleges Kamala Harris Will Receive Debate Questions in Advance from ABC News

Former US President Donald Trump has accused ABC News of planning to help Vice President Kamala Harris cheat in their upcoming presidential debate.

During a Fox News town hall on Wednesday, September 4, Trump claimed that the network would provide Harris with questions ahead of the debate set for Tuesday, September 10, in Philadelphia.

“They’re going to get the questions; I’ve already heard they’re going to get the questions in advance,” Trump alleged while speaking with host Sean Hannity.

Trump also accused ABC News of being biased, calling it the “worst network in terms of fairness” and suggesting that Harris’ close ties to Disney executive Dana Walden might lead to unfair advantages.

Trump stated that he only agreed to the debate because Harris refused to appear on any other network.

“Her best friend is the head of the network,” Trump said, insinuating further favoritism.

In spite of these accusations, Trump acknowledged that ABC’s contract explicitly prohibits providing questions in advance to either candidate.

While Trump remains skeptical of Harris’ tactics, he said he isn’t convinced the alleged advance access to questions will give her a significant advantage.

The debate rules state that microphones will be muted when candidates aren’t speaking, and no pre-written notes or props will be allowed on stage.
