Trump Threatens Prosecution of Election Officials if He Wins 2024 Presidency

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has vowed to prosecute election officials and political operatives if he secures a victory in the 2024 presidential election.

Claiming that the 2020 election was rigged by the Democrats, Trump posted on his social media platforms, Truth Social and X, that those responsible for “cheating” would face legal consequences, including long-term prison sentences for those who failed to comply by the normal rules and law.

In his post, Trump said, “WHEN I WIN, those people that cheated will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

He also mentioned that his legal team, along with various legal scholars, would be closely monitoring the 2024 election to prevent any fraudulent activity from occurring.

Trump’s threats come as early voting is set to begin in several states, with the former president warning that the consequences will extend to

“lawyers, political operatives, donors, illegal voters, and corrupt election officials.”

These comments have raised concerns about Trump’s plans to use the justice system to target political opponents, especially given that he faces multiple charges related to election interference, including a federal indictment and a separate case in Georgia.
