Israel Declares “New Era of War” as Explosions Target Hezbollah, Killing 20 and Injuring Hundreds in Lebanon

Israel has signaled the beginning of a “new era” of war following a series of deadly attacks targeting Hezbollah across Lebanon.

This was stated as a result of a very shocking incident.

Explosions rocked the country on Wednesday, September 18, with devices such as walkie-talkies, phones, and solar panels detonating, killing at least 20 people and injuring 450 others—quite a large number of people.

The attacks follow Tuesday’s devastating blast that killed 12 people and injured nearly 3,000 before the recently recorded incident.

The explosions on Wednesday, some of which occurred during a funeral for victims of the previous day’s attack, struck areas in Beirut and the southern Lebanon aspect of Israel.

Israeli officials have not explicitly claimed responsibility but hinted at their involvement.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated, “The center of gravity is moving north.

I believe that we are at the onset of a new phase in this war, and we need to adapt.”

Hezbollah has vowed retaliation, holding Israel responsible for the attacks and committing to continuing its involvement in the Gaza conflict in support of Hamas.

Meanwhile, Israel has ramped up its military presence on the northern front, moving elite divisions and preparing for further escalation.
