Two Nigerian Men Found Guilty of Multiple Rapes in UK, Face Severe Punishment

Two Nigerian men, Tosin Dada and Solomon Ibukun Adebiyi, have been found guilty of multiple rapes in the United Kingdom.

The duo was charged with three counts of rape each in connection with the offense on March 12, 2022.

Inside a residence on Abington Square in the heart of Northampton, the 17-year-old victim suffered a sexual assault.

In spite of their claims of consensual sex, the jury unanimously found them guilty on all charges after eight hours of deliberation.

Following a nine-day trial at Northampton Crown Court, both men were placed under remand to await their October 25, 2024, sentencing.

However, the severity of their punishment is yet to be determined, but the gravity of their offense warrants a harsh sentence.

Their actions have not only damaged the image of Nigeria but also perpetuated harmful stereotypes, making it challenging for the country to build good relationships with other nations.

The offense is a punishable act, and the perpetrators must face the consequences of their animalistic behavior.

The case serves as a lesson to others who intend to engage in such heinous acts, knowing full well that it is a punishable offense.

The victim’s traumatic experience must be acknowledged, and justice must be served to provide some sense of calm and closure.

The Nigerian community must also take a stand against such behavior, emphasizing that it will not be tolerated and that perpetrators will face the full force of the law.
